Starting Out...

Although I have done one or two small blogs with regards to my travels and other crazy experiences (www.travelpod.com/members/driverj for those of you morbidly interested), I want to also take some time out to occasionally talk about the professional world in which I live most of the time - the world of the public educator; more specifically, the world of the assistant principal.  My goal through this blog is to share thoughts, experiences, updates from my awesome school (www.okaloosaschools.com/lewis) and general topics that revolve around public education.  My experiences are varied, and run the gamut from college advisor to guidance counselor to assistant principal at the high school and college level, with a lot of emphasis on college preparation through programs like Advanced Placement and ACT/SAT preparation.  My arrogant yet sincere hope that you (few) readers may find topics, thoughts or ideas that resonate with you, either positively or negatively.  Either way, I'll try to at least make this journey memorable....
